Weiss' Anja Verce Presented at Battelle's 2011 International Symposium
July 2011
Anja Verce, Environmental Engineer at Weiss Associates, was one of the presenters at the June 27-30, 2011 Battelle International Symposium held in Reno, NV.
Anja's presentation, which was co-authored by Mary Stallard and Robert Devany of Weiss, discussed how Weiss performed a bench-scale treatability study to evaluate a potential mechanism for the occurrence of geogenic hexavalent chromium at a site in the Sacramento Valley in California, and to evaluate if the hexavalent chromium could be remediated by in situ biological treatment.

The symposium on Bioremediation and Sustainable Environmental Technologies incorporated topics from bioremediation to the environmental impacts of biology-based alternative energy production.
