Weiss had a successful partnership with the Oakland Public Education Fund in 2021

Continuing with the success of the first two events in March (Science Read-In) and April (Science Careers Week presentations), Weiss continued its volunteer program at Hoover STEAM Elementary.

In August, Weiss volunteers helped teachers prepare their classrooms to welcome students back after almost 2 years of virtual learning.

To close out the year, Weiss volunteers worked with 4th and 5th grade students in a hands-on earthquake demonstration. Students learned about earthquakes and how they are studied and had fun building their own structures to see if they would hold up in a simulated earthquake.
